Alateen Records Change Form
Please do NOT send Alateen Records Changes to the PA Al-Anon Group Records Coordinator.
Please contact the Area AAPP at alateen.pp@pa-al-anon.org for any of the following:
Register a new Alateen group.
Report changes in the group name, meeting place, meeting day or time.
Report changes in the name and/or contact information of the Group Sponsor(s), Current Mailing Address, or Telephone Contacts for WSO.
Basic Requirements Needed to Begin the AMIAS process:
Be an Al-Anon member regularly attending Al-Anon meetings.
Be at least 21 years old.
Have at least two years of Al-Anon in addition to any time spent in Alateen.
Not have been convicted of a felony and not have been charged with child abuse or any other inappropriate sexual behavior and not have demonstrated emotional problems, which could result in harm to Alateen members.
Submit background check, criminal record check, and PA Child Abuse History Certification every 5 years.
Every Alateen group needs an active, adult member of Al-Anon to serve as a sponsor (referred to as an AMIAS).
The sponsor is an active participant in the group, guiding and sharing knowledge of our Twelve Steps and Traditions. Members of Alateen can also choose to have a personal sponsor, who can be another member of Alateen or Al-Anon. The Alateen group sponsor is called an AMIAS; Al-Anon Member Involved in Alateen Service.
